Building on the legendary reputation of its predecessor, the GM II delivers even faster autofocus, enhanced optical performance, lighter weight, and improved video capabilities while maintaining the signature G Master image quality.

The classic 85mm focal length offers a flattering perspective for portraits, weddings, fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and event photography. On APS-C Sony cameras, it provides an equivalent focal length of approximately 127.5mm, making it an excellent medium telephoto lens for tighter compositions.

Its large f/1.4 maximum aperture enables outstanding low-light performance and creates exceptionally shallow depth of field with beautiful background separation. The advanced 11-blade circular diaphragm produces soft, natural-looking bokeh with smooth transitions, making subjects stand out with a premium cinematic look.

The sophisticated optical construction features 14 elements in 11 groups, including 2 XA (Extreme Aspherical) elements, 2 ED elements, and Nano AR Coating II.
